From 1st April to 30th June 2025, I will be existing entirely on a wild food only diet, as part of the wider Wildbiome Project. This will require extensive preparation, research and drawing on my knowledge as a professional forager, but will also take hard work, sacrifice and imagination to make it a success.

This is a scientific study and the results will be monitored closely. In order to take part, funds must be raised to pay for tests and other administrative procedures. I am looking to cover all costs for my participation in this exciting project (equating to £680) so please give generously.

As the project progresses, I will be publishing a food blog that will explore what I’ve been eating, how I feel and any other updates. This will include before, during and after the project and can be found here:

Study Aims

“To assess the impact on microbiome composition and key health parameters of people eating an exclusively wild food diet, to help inform research about mesolithic diets of the past and to understand the health implications of food security in the future.”
